I wasn’t ready for this!
What a delightful surprise! The stay exceeded expectations with a comfy king room boasting a newly refurbished look. The meal in the restaurant was a highlight—tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were welcoming, and despite a bit of noise from the bar area, the room remained quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay in a comfortable king room with a nice welcome tray that included biscuits and water. Relaxing in the sun terrace with a cold drink and enjoying some quiet time in the garden was just what we needed. The mattress was a bit firm for my taste, but overall, we really loved our visit and recommend trying the full English breakfast! 😊

I had a lovely stay at The Horseshoe & Castle. The staff were extremely friendly. They made me feel welcome upon arrival. My King Room was spotlessly clean and the bed super comfy. Breakfast was excellent with quality ingredients. Enjoyed the full English breakfast and freshly brewed Yorkshire Tea. The location made it easy to attend a wedding nearby. the bathroom was a bit tiny and the shower pressure could be better. there were some late-night noise disturbances from outside, which made it hard to sleep.

It was just a fine choice for a city break in Rochester (Kent) with good value for price. The breakfast was amazing and definitely a highlight for us. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as noise can get loud at times.
